About
The Port Hope Rainbow Network is a nonprofit social club and advocacy group proudly run by and for the local queer community.
We're dedicated to creating safe, inclusive spaces and events for Port Hope 2slgbtqia+ individuals and allies to connect, communicate and celebrate as our authentic selves.
What We Do
Community Outreach
We want to get to know each other and feel seen, loud and proud. We want to offer opportunities to network and make like-minded friends in a supportive environment. We want to ensure Port Hope doesn't feel isolating or intimidating to anyone. We will be ever-evolving in our activities, growing with our community.
Lets work together
We want to be a network of resources, businesses, events, and education. We will be a source of relevant news and events. We want to advocate on behalf of the queer community with our local government when needed. We want to offer a safe, respectful source for education and exploration.
Celebrate!
Pride is more than just one month. We are "queer all year" so we aim to be active all year, from informal get-togethers to brazen brunches fancy parties. We want to hold true to Pride's roots and always advocate for equity and inclusion, supporting other local organizations seeking the same. We want to celebrate our queerness, and also all the rest of what makes us amazing humans.
Our vision is a Port Hope that celebrates the vibrant rainbow of its people - of all genders, sexualities, ethnicities and intersectionalities. Where everyone thrives together, feeling safe, supported, and seen. A Proud Port Hope
